Dr Robert (Bob) Dixon has been running the Pastoral Research Office (PRO) for the Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference since it was established in 1996 until his recent retirement as Executive Director. He continues to work for the Research Office and the Australian Bishops as a consultant sociologist and demographer.
He
is the leading English-language expert on the Vatican, a regular
contributor to CNN, The New York Times, And The Nation. John is the
